Water Softener/Iron Filter Combo
Big Iron Drilling’s patented whole house Water Softener/Iron Filter Combination Unit is by far the most popular system we sell. It is the only true water softener, iron filter combination unit on the market. In its patented design principle, it can stand alone as a water softener or stand alone as an iron filter, while also being a true water softener, iron filter combination unit.
It can be used with salt; with chlorine; with air; with alum, while still softening water along with removing iron and other precipitates.
The reason it works so well is due to its ability to clean the media bed in the backwash cycle. The primary reason traditional “dip tube” units do not work effectivley is their inability to clean the media bed in the backwash cycle.
Our Water Softener/Iron Filter Combo unit contains the patented IronEater, the patented Abrazor media bed and the patented Extender device. With these three products in the system, we supply the most extensive bed fouling warranty in the industry.
